Project 51

I've been working on a secret project code-named Project 51 - more details here :)

So far I've made 2 blocks in red and aqua, using this tutorial for the blocks, and this tutorial for the dancing girl.

 

I wasn't really into the whole red and aqua thing, but I really like these blocks! My dancing girl is rather big-boned and looks like she may have enjoyed a couuple of Lambrinis before hitting the dancefloor but she was soooo much fun to make!


 I think I might make a friend for her before I send the blocks off to a secret location for phase 2 of the mission! :)

    Fiona they are gorgeous! I think the dancing girl is me on my birthday. Too much cake and champagne! You should totally make her a friend. Then they can dance around their handbags together!

    Funny that Laura Jane said the word handbag because I was laughing thinking it would be great if you could piece in a handbag at dancing girl's feet! Your blocks are gorgeous and will be a highlight of the quilt.

    Oh, she's adorable! A little friend will be great - is she protecting the dancing girls from unwanted males? Is she buying the next round of drinks?
