Let's try it again

Thanks for all your advice about my Brit Bee block that wasn't working :)

I've unpicked the border, remade the cornerstones and sliced up one of my most treasured fat quarters ever, Heather Ross' Swimming Sisters in blush, and here is the result!

I'm so much happier with this :) I think it's light, fresh, airy and hopefully still beachy, but as the wise Catrin suggested, more tropical beach than British ;)

What do you think? Better?

  1. Didn't see the original until now but I'd say much better! The border doesn't fight for attention with your beautifully pieced centre now!

  2. This is gorgeous! Lovely big panels for those ladies to swim in and show off their tail and tresses to full effect! Now I notice more about your centre star too - those little octopus are so sweet!

  3. I don't know about wise! I actually thought that the original border looked ok (it was more the cornerstones that looked wrong to me) but now that I've seen this I'm in love - your star really shines now x

  10. now I know I am spending too much time surfing, have previously read your blog and enjoyed it.
Was poking around on pinterest, as you do, and spotted a modern christmas table runner I really liked, and recognised your name. Time to do some housework!!!
