Snow in April?
We're on holiday just now. We've come up to my in-laws holiday house in Aviemore (North of Scotland) After last week's unseasonably warm weather I didn't believe the weather forecast when it told me it would snow. How could it? It was glorious last week! I did pack the kids' snowboots just in case, and a couple of jumpers, but that's about as far as I went. My poor children were out buiding a snowman this morning wearing socks on their hands because their fool of a mother didn't pack gloves!
Their fool of a mother has not set foot outside today and is cosied up on the sofa playing with hexagons :)
2 more sleeps until puppy day!!!

Rotten cold weather... Love your sofa arm caddy, I could do with one of them! And woohoo! Puppy soon :-) Excited for you.... lol
ReplyDeleteOh it does look lovely though, from 450 miles away!
ReplyDeleteYou excited one you!
I used to go skiing there! Looks pretty but definitely chilly! Looks like there will be lots of hexie-making!
ReplyDeleteThat mother is no fool! Looks lovely but I'd be inside too! Socks ! Necessity is the mother of invention! Great recovery Fiona! Are the kids as excited as you? :)
ReplyDeletewow, look at all that snow. bet the kids love it
ReplyDeleteI didn't believe them either, the weather has been so glorious lately! At least their toes didn't get cold and you had a chance to play with hexies!
ReplyDeleteTheir mother aint that much of a fool if she didn't go out ;o) It snowed in Glasgow too...
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather. We had a day of downpouring Saturday that never let up followed by 72 degrees blue sky on Sunday. Playing with hexis sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh how puppy exciting! I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the kids didn't care a jot having socks on their hands. The snow is just too fab a playground to worry about such things!
Enjoy your few days away! Jxo
I couldn't think of a better way to spend a chilly day than making hexies. Smart mama!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see little Murphy! You are going with Murphy, right? ;P
No fair, you have snow!!! Its so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteMy dad's birthday was 25th April, and I can remember having snow on his birthday one year! We're lucky down in sunny Berkshire - well, by sunny, I mean not snowy! Good luck with the puppy, can't wait to hear about it!
ReplyDeleteStunningly beautiful view, and even more so when it's unexpected. I'd say mum was a pretty smart cookie to stay cozy inside.
ReplyDeleteIs puppy here yet?!!!
ReplyDeleteI would say the 'fool of a mother' was pretty damn smart holed up inside.
ReplyDeletewhere can i get a pattern for that cute little couch pin cushion???
