Little Things

I've been sewing little things the last few days. Sometimes I love sweet little projects that only take an hour or two, instead of quilts which can take me months.

Meet Bella

Meet Bella, the pin cushion. I think I might be in love with her! I made her using a Heather Bailey pattern called Effie and Ollie that I've had my eye on for ages. As much as I want to keep her, I did make her with someone in particular in mind, and I'm intrigued to see if this particular person will love her too :)

Pillow Talk { Swap } - finished

I also finished off the cushion I've made my partner in the Pillow Talk Swap on Flickr. I kind of want to keep this too, and I'm hoping that my secret partner will like it.

Another Fortune Cookie frame purse

I made another little Fortune Cookie purse to pop in as an extra little surprise for my partner, I really like these little purses (Frame and Pattern from U Handbag) and I love that  fabric (Make Life by Sweetwater)

So now it's almost the weekend, wonder if I'll find time to make something for myself? :)

Have a great weekend

  1. Oh, what great things you've made!! The elephant is far too cute to be sticking pins in but she's gorgeous! Love the cushion you've made and the purse is wonderful!!

  3. all 3 projects are lovely. I'd feel bad sticking pins in the elephant she's so sweet. I have a purse frame from there too but I'm worried I'll end up in a horrible gluey mess so I've not made it yet.

  10. How can you stick pins in Ellie?!?! She is far to sweet and beautiful for that kind of treatment. I may have to go looking for that pattern after I have caught up on all my swaps. Love the cushion and the purse too, but have to say Ellie is my favourite!

  11. Wow, such wonderful things! I love the elephant, and your pillow it wonderful! I read your saga with the framed pouch, catching up my internet reading, and I am so glad to have learned from your experience. I have been nervous to give these a try but maybe I will, as they are very wonderful when done.
