Brit Quilt Swap

Yesterday I boasted and gushed about the lovely Bee blocks I've been receiving. Today I'm gushing about the beautiful little quilt I received in the Brit Quilt Swap. The very lovely Jan of IsisJem - The Creative Life and Times was my partner and here is the beautiful quilt she made for me

My children were almost as excited as me while we were opening the package. I had to fight them to actually open it myself!

The whole package was amazing! Jan sent me some fabulous goodies

But the highlight for me really is the quilt. When Jan posted the first picture of the little dog in the balloon I was sure it was my little Poppy. In fact as soon as the childrem saw the quilt they all said "It's Poppy!"

During the course of this swap we had to say Goodbye to Poppy and that makes this little quilt even more special  - that's why this blog is called Poppy Makes - she was my first baby, and a huge part of our family. I got quite emotional each time Jan posted a picture of that smiling little dog in the balloon chasing her bone.

My daughter has asked if the quilt can go on her bedroom wall, and I think that's where it will live.
Jan, Thankyou so much for all the love and effort you put into this for me. It is a very very special little quilt :)
